Sometimes people ask about a dog that has 'gone missing' from our website - perhaps the sire or dam of a past litter.  Occasionally one of our dogs will 'retire' to become the new pet of a family member or friend.  We will feature those beloved pets on this page, and provide periodic updates and photos.

AKC Champion QBin Julieta's Premiere, "Jules"

Jules is now retired and living with our friend Betty.  Jules finished her championship with an impressive record of four major wins, then went on to whelp our champion Junebug and other very promising pups.  Jules is pictured below, sporting her 'puppy cut' .

Julieta's grandsire, Oye Chico Rumbero, "Cuby" was the first Havanese exported from Cuba following the reestablishment of the breed there. You can see him and his son Mucho Bravo Cuby's Mi'Hijo, on the Mucho Bravo website.  Julieta’s dam, CH Habla’s Precious Munchkin won Winners Bitch at both the 1998 and the 1999 Havanese National Specialties.

AKC Champion Bydand Academy Award, "Oscar"

Oscar and Jules did produce some beautiful music together - as you can see, song titles play heavily in our choice of registered names!

We didn't want father/daughter breedings here, and Oscar was not ready to to be neutered (in his humble opinion).  Oscar is now back in Virginia at the home of his breeder, happily producing the occasional litter there.

AKC Champion Los Perritos Foxtrot's Premiere "Primo"

Primo is a man-about-town these days, living with our son in his first post-college digs.  Primo spends his time at the sidewalk cafes in Hillsboro Village, where his dreads are a definite icebreaker among the young professional set.

Primo is the son of Westminster Kennel Club winner CH Los Perritos Fox of Camscott.  To see Fox on the cover of Dog World magazine, click here.
Primo is our first Havanese and the grand old man of the family. He finished his championship at the age of 7 months, going undefeated in the classes.  Primo is the dog featured in the banner of our homepage.
